In order to use Internet Explorer 7 with GPS Insight, specifically 3-D mapping (Google Earth), it is necessary to change the security settings for the trusted sites in IE (which include *.gpsinsight.com and *.networkcar.com) to “Low”.

If this is not done the built-in pop-up blocker will prevent these websites from opening. The appearance of Internet Explorer 7 blocking a 3-D map is very similar to how other pop-up blockers usually appear when blocking pages or files from opening.

To access Internet Explorer security settings go to Tools and click Internet Options.

Click on the Security tab.

1. Make sure the Trusted Sites zone is selected. Click Custom Level...

Click on custom level to open the security settings window.

2. Change the setting to Low and click Reset.

Change the setting to Medium-low and click Reset.

3. Click Yes to confirm the change in security level.
